Why are Bed and Breakfasts in Quebec not popular?

In America and in Western Canada, Bed and breakfast Inns have been incredibly popular for the past 30 years. Reasonably priced and with a homey feel, these B&B's have been giving great value to clients not wanting to have yet another forgettable time in a big chain type hotel.
In the province of Quebec, these Inns haven't had the demand from clients as in other places and are, slowly but surely, starting to get noticed by travelers. Only a few places are branded as Bed....

TOKYO (Reuters) - The Nikkei average plunged 9.4 percent on Wednesday, its biggest one-day drop since the 1987 stock market crash, as fear spread of a global recession, fueled by expectations of a slide in profits at Toyota Motor Corp (Tokyo:7203.T - News) and a firmer yen.
